MORE ABOUT ME
My name is Meggie Holden and I am a Registered Dietitian. I was lucky enough to grow up in a house where all foods were accepted, dieting was not practiced, and weight did not matter. In a family with one son and five daughters, my mom made it a point to ensure we had a healthy relationship with food and with our bodies. Because I grew up in such a body- and food-positive environment, I want to share that with others.
I graduated from Brigham Young University with a degree in dietetics and then completed my dietetic internship through the Utah State University distance program in Maryland. After my schooling, I started working at an eating disorder clinic and I fell in love with helping others improve their relationship with food. I received my Masters in Dietetic Administration from Utah State University and started my business, Compassionate Nutrition.
I specialize in helping clients recover from eating disorders and disordered eating. I am passionate about helping people make peace with food and their bodies so they can rediscover their lives and improve their health. My favorite parts of my job are teaching nutrition, dispelling dieting myths and menu planning with clients. I support the Health at Every Size® and Intuitive Eating modules and use these concepts to guide my counseling sessions.
